We do? I don't know that and I don't think you do either. Nice try though

You've got to be kidding. My son is a degreed accountant and works for County Government. Four years ago everyone in the County got a 10% pay cut. The last pay raise he received did not even make up for the 10% cut he is still making less than he did 4 years ago by about 3%. There is the real world and then there is the pretend world that some of our CD posters invent to support their claims

Exactly-not only that but public pensions are under attack everywhere-and health care costs continue to dramatically rise.

It's shameful that some look down on people wanting a living wage and benefits in the richest country on the planet.

People seem to forget that our currency has no inherent value and people should always be more important than a privately controlled unit of exchange. We have the power to dismantle the Federal Reserve and usher in a new currency-controlled by the people and debt-free. One that is actually beneficial for our society.

There are lots of people in the U.S. who lack adequate money for enough food.

You're the one complaining and insisting that responsible people should pay for the consequences of the bad decisions others make. That's slavery. You advocate slavery.

Business owners who close up shop, retire and give their employees pink slips are irresponsible people leaving others to suffer the consequences of their actions.

Don't keep this up, It won't end well.

EDIT" btw, have had enough whine with my government cheese. Not coming back to this thread.

Not true. Any of those former employees can start their own business. No one is stopping them but themselves.

And people like you advocate slavery as well it could be argued. Thats a emotional argument, not a factually based one.

Not at all. Welfare recipients don't have to work for free like those who have to pay high effective federal income tax rates.

Well then I guess it's blatantly obvious that the republicans on welfare also have the mindset of "gimme, gimme, gimme.
