While I don't disagree with the thrust of the article, I don't think I would consider an intentional partisan hit piece as the last word.

Even if you are feeling charitable, it is hard to see how Bush was even a poor president. He was shockingly bad in most respects. It is good to recall that when all the ranting about Obama gets going. Obama is about 10000% more capable than Bush II.

For an objective viewpoint, Google "Historical Rankings of U.S. Presidents." Wikipedia lists the rankings of about 12 different sources, with the aggregate ranking of each in the last column.

(I do think that it is not fair to include in the rankings any presidents who were in office less than at least 25 years ago, though. I have also still not been able to decide whether GWB was worse than Obama is -- in my opinion, neither should have been elected!)

That is a cool link. W came in under Nixon in the aggregate ranking. That says enough for me. He is worst in my lifetime. Despite being a criminal, Nixon had some leadership talents.
