That's an opinion. Thankfully, there are still a couple of billion people in the world who disagree.

My brother used to think like you. He's a PHD in Physics. These days, they are finding more and more evidence that God does in fact exist. If you choose to believe that or not...your decision.

But my brother is once again a devout Catholic because of what he has learned from science.

I've never read the book, but the content doesn't bother me. My straight children have grown up with a gay extended family member, so this story played out around our Thanksgiving table in real life. If you're looking for outrage, I'm afraid I cannot oblige.

They grew up with your permission or at least knowledge of this yes? These kids had no choice, their parents knew NOTHING about it before hand....see the difference?

Is this the first time a school has made students read a book? I was forced to read books all the time in school. No usually says a word until they disagree with it in some way. So this BS about 'parents had a right to know!' is laughably stupid. Did the school send out a flyer when they read Green Eggs and Ham? No? Then maybe you should ask your stupid kid what they're reading in school? It's not as if they were hiding this from you, they just didn't think a bunch of parents would be this upset because a bunch of 9 year olds read a book about a prince who liked boys.

And sexuality shouldn't be part of schools? Why?

Don't get me wrong, it'd be pretty effed up if they were looking at things that borders on being pornographic, but that's just common sense. They would never do that. So unless this King and King book featured some homosexual love scene, what exactly is inappropriate for children? And is the same standard in place for a book about a king and a queen, because that is also sexuality, if we use the same absurd standard. The thing is, most people are thoughtful enough to recognize that the concept of love is deeper than just sexuality, but too many people are so close minded that any kind of love that contradict their ideal of love suddenly becomes immoral because everything revolves around them.

This idea that sexuality shouldn't be near kids is absurd. It already is, for starters, it's just no lunatic parents say anything until it's the kind Jesus didn't like. And even so, sexuality is a developing thing, and many young people, as young as 3rd grade, start developing crushes on their classmates and so on, so sexuality is already an aspect of themselves.

You people get so worked up. This is the same thing when people get mad the the N word is used in a book. Quit trying to censor schools. If you don't like what the schools teach, go else were. **** you of thinking you're so self important that the schools need to change to fit your curriculum. Home school your kids if you'd like. Go to a private school. And if you don't want to do that, accept that your kid will be taught things you might not agree with. Get over your self righteous selves.

Homosexuality has no place in education. Period. Oh and Green Eggs and Ham is a child's book dealing with colors, food, shapes whatever normal stuff they are SUPPOSED to teach. Homosexuality is NOT on the agenda other than for an obvious select amount of teachers who think its their RIGHT to indoctrinate kids into loving homosexuals and homosexuality.

Man this is disgusting....that POS should be fired and forever banned from having a job around children. Take the homosexual propaganda elsewhere...this is why parents have to stay SO involved in our kids lives and education....
Wasn't there a book in elementary schools about 15 or 20 years ago called "Sally Has 2 Mommies" that was used in many public schools until it was discovered and parent protested against it?

So the sin of homoseuxality is just about the worst sin there can possibly exist in the world, rivaling or exceeding adultery, murder, child molesting and rape? After all, the sex acts homosexuals commit are so incredibly gross and disgusting.
