So make it legal for rapists to carry guns, after all gun laws are pointless

Gun laws shouldn't prevent law abiding citizens their natural (and constitutional right) to bear arms and defend themselves. That's exactly what we had in Chicago, and also in DC. Criminals had the guns, and law abiding citizens were forbidden to. If they did try and exercise their 2A right, they then became criminals themselves.

In the SCOTUS case McDonald v City of Chicago (2010), I don't think the plaintiff is illogical at all, as in this interview he explains how gangbangers have taken over his neighborhood, his house broken into numerous times, the police were powerless to stop them, and all he wanted was to defend himself and his home. The morons in City Hall didn't feel that he needed to

Your Waco argument is weak. This happens almost every weekend in Chicago and many big cities.
You won't find this as a normal event ever in Waco.

You think a Rapist or criminal cares if they can legally carry a gun? All your arguments are really weak.

If they are a rapist, do they care about laws?

No not a complete ban but there are some reasonable changes that I indicated, these guns are coming from the suburbs and other states for a very good reason. Actually a few gun stores seem to be the source of a good percentage of the illegal weapons, that seems to be the case in many states.

I disagree Chicago would be a lot worse if they had gun laws like Georgia or Louisiana. Keep in mind that states like NY, NJ, CT .. that have some of the strictest laws also have some of the lowest gun crime rates although I would not strictly attribute their low rates completely to gun control.

You want to see real trouble in Chicago, have them roll back their laws to mimic Louisiana.

Would it matter if there were no gun laws in Chicago? They gang bangers don't seem to care, do they...
