You are being sarcastic, right? By "help," you mean "screw" right?

Yes, it will help low wage workers'. Screw what? $15/h is still not a livable wage especially in Los Angeles.

A bunch of businesses closing and an increase in costs for products will be great for the working poor.

I mean, who even needs small business. If a business cannot afford to pay a burger flipper 50k a year they should just close.

Prove that with facts. You act as if $15/h is a lot of money when it's less than $30K/yr if working full-time.

If you want the government to increase your wage to $15 an hour you are admitting that your labor is not even worth $15 an hour.

It's a lot of money for someone just flipping the burgers whose work is not even worth $10/hour.

If you're making $15 now becsue your labor has more value than a minimum wage worker are you going to accept minimum wage when it's raised to $15? Of course not, you're going to demand an increase too. You're not just raising the minimum, you're raising pay across the board.

That leads to increased costs across the board. When you run a business and costs increase you have to pass those increased costs onto the consumer. The net affect is the employee is making just as much as they were before.
