I can see it now..Clinton signed NAFTA and yet people blame the Repubs.
Because the Republicans created NAFTA.....most liberals blame Clinton and the Republicans for NAFTA. Of course the right wingers seem to think it was only Clinton who created NAFTA, somehow got it through Congress without Republican support, and then signed it into law....nope, it had the Republicans' name all over it when they sent it to his desk.
Now why is it whenever you bring up NAFTA, you always skip over that fact? Had the Republicans stopped NAFTA in the Congress there would have been nothing for Clinton to sign.

This is a very fundamental problem with right-wingers. They think we also think like them, and don't blame our own party for mistakes they make. They are totally wrong, as evidence by the fact that anyone who isn't a right-winger on CD considers Obama to not be a leftist.
I guess we have found the one thing right wingers in Congress seem to agree with Obama on. The one time I was hoping they would disagree with him just because it is Obama.....thanks Republicans, you let me down.
Maybe if we outsourced health care insurance to the Chinese, the Republicans would support that too.

It is not just about trade but is an answer to the question, Should American economic and military influence in the Asia-Pacific region end at Guam or Midway Island? or should it extend to China's doorstep? Do Americans want to maintain ties with Burma, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Korea, Japan and the Philipines or will these nations have to make their peace with China and join China's giant economic Zone and provide bases for the People's Army, Air Force and Navy China's 21st Century Great Wall. China would very much like to see us pack up and leave this all to them.

Obama is a moderate who has sided with the left on a number of topics, as well as didn't go far enough to the left on others, but then there are things like this where he has gone to the right and I don't agree with him on.
Unfortunately for us, the Republicans are right there to help Obama when it is something they really want.
