Strong new parties that are disrupting the royal families of Europe are rapidly developing as witnessed by the recent elections in Spain, Greece and elsewhere. We need a strong party to counter the oligarchy here in the U.S. What can we do? How can it be started?
huh ? The "Tea Party" was hijacked long ago by the neocons and bankers.
It's a non-sequiteur. Did you know that the so-called Tea Party in our times
started with Ron Paul in 2007 when he had a real tea party in Boston ? That's
how it started. Gradually, the movement was infiltrated and the terminology
was stolen by mainstream Republicans and Fox News to basically mean nothing
but opposition to the Democrats.

That's why I said "was" all about. Past tense.
The tea folk are still out there, even though the media spotlight has passed over. They represent the core constituency for a modern Populism, which is another word for your "anti-oligarchy" movement.

I agree. Initially the Tea Party had an entirely different agenda. But the oligarchy is very powerful and smart and simply hijacked the movement and co-opted the leadership as an expeditious way of handling the c situation.

Yes, the any-oligarchy views are still out there but how to organize it without being marginalized by the media and hijacked by the ultra-rich?

I don't have any genius ideas, but I do think that it's more a matter of picking which segment of the wealthy one wants to ally with. There are constant intra-elite struggles for supremacy which have been going on since the dawn of the Republic and every once in a while these fracture lines in the wealth owning classes align with larger events, for instance the Goldwater/Nixon/Reagan era.
Lets call it the Pitch Fork Party and call for the peaceful assembly on street corners everywhere. The symbol of which should resemble a pitch fork and carried by each individual. That would be one way to find out if there is enough interest to proceed.
There is only one candidate running for President who is not already been purchased by special interests, and that is Bernie Sanders.
With all the money in politics, it would take more than a grass roots effort to build a viable third party, and that was exactly the intended conclusion of Citizens United.
