It was $1,500 but now Israel will pay African refugees $3,500 to leave. This will help to "protect the Jewish and democratic character" of Israel.
"We are determined to remove the tens of thousands of infiltrators who are here, after we lowered to zero the number of work-seeking infiltrators who have entered Israel’s cities" - Netanyahu
Those who do not take up the offer will be arrested and incarcerated in the new Negev Desert migrant detention center.
In 2013, to take one example, an Ethiopian member of Israel’s parliament named Pnina Tamano-Shata offered to donate blood to the Israeli equivalent of the Red Crescent, only to be rejected on the grounds that her blood was a “special kind of Jewish Ethiopian blood”. Shockingly, this wasn’t the first time that the organisation had rejected blood donations from Ethiopians.
In 1996, thousands of Ethiopians protested in Jerusalem after it was revealed that donated Ethiopian blood had been destroyed because the Israeli Red Crescent believed, with no evidence, that Ethiopians had a higher chance of being HIV positive.
Israel is quick to show off its Ethiopian Jewish population as an example of the country’s multiculturalism and tolerance. While the country was able to airlift 60,000 Ethiopians to Israel in the 1980s and 1990s, their experience after arrival has been anything but easy.

Red Crescent is an Islamic organization. It serves Muslims and Muslims only.
Israeli Jews have their own organization, Magen David Adom.

Actually Clark, if you look back at the quotation I quoted, you will see that the quotation I took out of the article, states that it was the 'Israeli equivalent of the Red Crescent', NOT the Red Crescent, but they were talking ABOUT 'Magen David Adom'. So the 'Jewish' organization, is the one that has been refusing to take Ethiopian blood.
In strictly the economic sense this is good business... if the state pays more than that per person in services or harm done to society the money spent is well worth it.
We should use it here as well...
It would save us thousands and lots of heartache

There would be a lot of white people leaving America.

Oops. Okay.
I checked up on that.
In any case, Israel apologized for it. Besides, that was years ago ... not a recent thing.
