https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...SRlQPD6XiwThis Memorial Day weekend, please thank a Vet for his service, and pray for the safety of those still in harms way. Also pray for our country, which is in need of restoration. Our core values and principles, even our Constitution is under assault every day. Let's reflect on those who have fought and died for Freedom and Liberty, not only for ourselves, but for others yearning to be free.

My eyes tear up when I hear the Navy Hymn.

Thank you for posting this. Especially the second video. The Marines' Hymn is my favorite.

Stop glorifying the military and all its unjust actions
Its a gubberment jobs program that makes us all poorer, less safe and destroys families.

I also am very proud to be a US citizen and proud to have served my country as many of my relatives did from revolutionary war to today. Monday is a day to remember all those that died serving it which I will do as I knew quite a few; may they RIP.

Thanks for your service, Chucksnee!

Someone on TV recently said, support the troups and the vets even if you don't support the war.
Happy Memorial Day!

I agree, in terms of administration. I don't pass the blame down to the people who serve though. At the risk of offending some, I'll say that they think they're giving they're life for freedom, and if that's what they feel they're doing, then it's quite noble of them to volunteer to be a part of that. But bare in mind, they don't choose what country they go to. Other people do, and we need to be sure we put the blame on the right people.

I live just outside of Washington, DC. And every year at this time (memorial Day) we have the Rolling Thunder guys riding into town on their Harleys to commemorate the holiday. Mostly Vietnam war vets plus the later wars in Irag and Afghanistan. And maybe even a few Korea vets. Great bunch of guys (and gals). I always give them a little salute when I see them rolling down the roads.
