Ah quoting michelle obama..'we have to re-write our history'.

At ebb tide, obama could have remedied any past mistakes either real of perceived. Obama took the reins in his hands and chose to allow the stability to deteriorate.

Obama is the surgeon whose patient dies due to his incompetence and then in court blames the driver because he caused the injuries. So what does obama take responsibility for? He comes across as a bystander. He belives fate is at play and he is of no consequence.....except for human caused global warming. GWB is a befuddlement to obama but nature, the earth and the interaction among the planets is something he has in hand.

Who is so bewildered and confused that they could, in the light of day, stand shoulder to shoulder with this enigma that pretends to be a real hologram?

You can't fight The War on Women, The War on School Lunches, The War on The Wealthy, The War on Fox News, The War on The Supreme Court, The War on Congress, The War on The Police, The War on Arizona and the War on (the "T" word we're not allowed to say out loud). He's just spreading himself too thin as Commander In Chief.

Obvama's isis policy is a success based on his goals. Unfortunately the rest of the country does not share obama's unstated goals and thus it appears obama is a failure.

Seems an easy fix for a good leader and media created great orator to clarify. Unfortunately again the great orator has chosen to not communicate where in the conflict lies in public opinion. suggests obama feels he would be wasting his breath on the unwashed ignorant massses whose only use to him is as useful idiots to support his vaguely stated agenda.
Easy fix? What easy fix, none of the experts have any solution. The solution is political not more military intervention by the US, the Shiites and Sunnis need to get along otherwise it will just be more of the same. Right now we are treading water with 3500 troops, a big step down from 200,000. The American people don't want to see any increase in troops, there is no instant fix and we can't bomb our way out of this.

The goal of this country is to get out of the ME, if we defeat ISIS then what any victory is temporary until the Iraqis take responsibility. Ever notice how our allies don't care anymore.

The only way to defeat ISIS is to support the Syrian people and their government,
but the US would rather support Al-Queda.

Why would you change the policy after 9/11 given there were terrorists camps in Iraq outside of Baghdad?

What part of 9/11, meant the policy should have been changed? You're questions make no sense. Its like asking why they dont stop parades after a bomb explodes during one of them.

Pretty well sums it up. What the repubs want to do. They want war.

"But the "If we knew then what we know now" question isn't the one they should be answering. The real question is what we should do now, knowing what we know now. And yet the answers don't seem to have changed in all that time."

I think a part of the problem is that we have no strategy, the Iraqi military knows it, and they know that we don't have their back. We flew a paltry 26 sorties of combine US and coalition aircraft and drones over the entire weekend while Ramadi was taken.

This is completely anecdotal, but I heard one Iraqi military officer on the news, say that they were promised the US would provide air support. Their plan involved air cover and they did not get it.

Our own troops got the air support they needed when they took back Ramadi years ago, but under Obama, the same air support is nonexistent. Due to our **** poor air support, are we essentially asking the Iraqi military to do what we did not ask our own troops to do?

Obama's failed ISIS policy

From where I'm sitting it looks like Obama has got plenty of company in the failed policy department considering who has been hit and where the hitters come from. So it looks to me like Iraqi, Saudi, Quatrain, Emirates, Kuwaiti, Jordanian, Syrian, Iranian, Lebanese, French, Danish, Dutch, Belgian, Tunisian, Swedish, German, Australian, and British policies that are failing and they've got more skin in the game than we do
