How about an all white police force in an all white town ?
How about an all Chinese police force. We import all the other junk. Why not import police and get them at reduced wages. They can set up their office at one of the tables in the Chinese Restaurant. You call them up and report the homicide and get takeout at the same time. At least they will be able to fulfill one of their functions even if they don't solve the crime. Do check your order though, and be sure to get the fortune cookie.
IE the cops are taking a vacation to punish the community. Resulting in deaths.
I think its time to fire them all, and hire replacements.
They are doing what is required of them,nothing more and nothing less being reactive instead of proactive. e.g. When a call comes in over the radio they are going to go and do their jobs, when a Freddy Gray takes off running for no reason they are just letting him run away.

Because being proactive got them in trouble.
Being proactive got "innocent" people hurt/killed although each of those "innocent" victims had rap sheets a mile long.
Where's the "Black lives matter" crowd now ?
More are being killed by themselves now that the cops have taken to respond to crime rather than try to prevent crime.
Your glee at mayhem, violence, and murder is noted.
They are just letting the bad parts of town self-police. AKA letting the gangs blast each other rather than arresting them and their affiliates.
You see, one cop shooting an unarmed gang banger is cause for riot. 200 shot dead by other gang bangers is a statistic.
It's not a new tactic. Chicago has used it extensively in the past.
Lastly, I wouldn't call it glee at those events but rather correctly noting that aggressive policing has it's flaws but gee....the flip-side is a problem too.
Society makes a huge mess, fails to raise these (mostly) young men most of whom have no father and an absentee mother. Then they expect the police to deal with them often after they've become immersed in gangs, gun carrying etc. but no no no.....you have to be delicate with them.
So what do you propose? A little good old fashioned public union crackdown? Whoops! Can't do that now can you? Oh wait, maybe vote in a different political party? LOL....nope...Baltimore is a one-party oligarchy.
What's your solution? The tried and true "blame guns"?
LOL....what way do you want it, you complain that the cops are not doing their job or overreaching, now they are not doing their jobs good enough or fast enough....

Any initiative falls apart when it requires a community to take responsibility instead of blaming something (guns)or somebody (cops etc.) else.
Since going after the cops is failing and is politically sensitive (aka the same political party).....I'm expecting a big push on guns again in Baltimore.
Gotta have a scapegoat. After all, the only reason baltimores Murder rates is 10x higher (or more) than Idaho's has to be the availability of guns right?
