They may even be getting the message that threats and intimidation in the name of their cult are counter productive. Heck, maybe some day they will become as civilized as christians.
And what's your evidence that "it seems to be working" on radical Islamists?

I see nothing wrong with such an event. I believe it is high time that the followers of Islam learn they do not dictate policy here and the sooner they understand that the better we will all be. Having these type of events will reinforce our culture, not theirs. If they don't like the culture here they are certainly free to go back to the sand box they came from.

This is not in response to the recent attack, just a bunch of rednecks on bikes. There are terrorists in this country, what a shocking revelation.

Poking fun at religions solves nothing and just divides.

Ummmm, the mosque near the Twin Towers site comes to mind.

Shows they're not peaceful, after all. Christians turn the other cheek when spoken bad about. Must not be in the Koran.......such a peaceful religion.

If someone drew Jesus their would be a protest, but the guy and his family would not have to go into hiding.....why are you sticking up for people who are wanting to stifle speech in America?

People draw pictures of Jesus all the time and there are NO protests. Us Christians don't care. Draw a picture of whatever you want. They are just pictures, they mean nothing....

The fact that none of the morons tried to shoot up this gathering. A bit different than a couple weeks ago.

Different in that the attendees were "packing", and they knew it. Watch for cowardly attacks against the planner in the future.

It's not impossible, I hope he carries daily. Sad think that there are some pathetic people that would hurt or kill someone over a cartoon.

Who is he at more risk from? Some Islamic nutjob? Or some liberal one?
