The stories in the Markets section:

Economy contracted in the first quarter
Corporate profits down 5.9%, greatest decline since 2007
Unexpected jump in unemployment benefit applications
Dow loses 115 points

Not a good day for America. It looks like a correction is indeed coming. I always thought it would. The rest of the world is really struggling, including mighty and much vaunted China. I always thought that the idea that we would not catch the flu was a bit absurd.

This was expected:
Quote:
Analysts generally foresee the economy growing at an annual rate of 2% to 2.5% in the current April-June quarter, with further strengthening later in the year. That pace would mark a significant gain from the 0.8% annualized drop they expect the government to report Friday in its revised estimate for the January-March quarter, according to a survey by FactSet.

That can't be repeated enough. These leftists are a classless, clueless, sick bunch of mofos. They don't care a whit about the country, they only care about winning at any cost no matter the damage they cause.

Strange, What wording did you use? I used just exactly what I posted, came up with links but not one that claimed the left was cheering the death of Americans.
But with your clarification, I see where you're coming from. It's more association rather than a statement of fact.

Wow, enjoy your indoctrination? Are you like hard wired now to spout the talking points or do they have to keep reloading you?

US GDP Growth Rate by Quarter

I was going to point at historical data to refute what you said.

It went poorly for me.

See link. I don't see weakness in the first quarter generally.

They don't call themselves patriots because they're not. They all sing the Internationale.
