You can't blame schools for America's obesity problem.
And you cannot expect schools to "fix" this problem unless you turn K-12 into boarding schools where you have control of the child 24/7.
What that kids needs is a bicycle and some friends with bicycles. Of course at that age some other busy body would be calling the cops becsue he's unsupervised.
Bicycles are a great idea! Those kids can ride themselves to McDs, KFC, etc.....

THEY are really bad people. The Prog-Activists demand utter and complete compliance and they wont stop until you cannot get a job, cannot own a home and cannot live if you do not bow the knee to whatever whim they have decided is their ISSUE.
I just read that in Baltimore schools they provide free breakfasts and lunches to all students...
Then why are you buying those foods? I don't buy them.

Our agriculture and food system subsidizes manufactured nutritionless food in ways that real agriculture and natural foods aren't subsidized.
Once again, I'd suggest you learn about how cows and chickens are raised commercially, and the differences between grass-fed and corn-raised cattle, as an example of this phenomenon.
