The progressive left actively promotes revenue collection toward the Big Government it wants and is fully aware that police state and surveillance state is a natural byproduct of hyper-state. In fact the progressive left has a century of experience with police- and surveillance-state in Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Be very careful with comparisons. Both the right and the left in this country would be in real trouble if we really did have a State Political Police (GESTAPO). They were very, very good at political suppression.

Why are you not looking at the other case (murdering a naked man even if he was under the influence of cocaine cannot be construed as justified, imo), but the second case cited involves a man who was basically killed because he was black, carrying a bbgun and listening to music so he did not hear what the police said.
The cops lied and lied. See the picture. They said he did not have his ear buds in and he obviously did. They would not allow the nurse who took the picture to give first aid. She might have been able to save him.

I despise both parties. Democracy exists to inhibit change. Thus I can be objective. The massive central control, the "do as I say, not as I do", the police state, comes from the leftists. Why not stay on topic, rather than bring up irrelevancies, and in some cases of what you mentioned, non-existentialities?

BBgun or not when the officer has no idea if it real gun they need to assume it's real. If you are carrying a replica wepaon or BBgun that looks like a real weapon you better treat like a real weapon.
