I agree with Chris. We still have embargoes against Iran. If we lift them, that would be the best fighting force against IS, not us. Also Egypt did a great jobs of kicking out their retarded extremist government and would help, as well as Israel. It's weird, none of the above mentioned nations got along earlier, but with a common enemy, things might change.

Oh no, don't say that. While ISIS was bad, what the forces of Bashar Al-Assad did was equally as evil...they used rape as a weapon, murder, torture, bombing civilian populations, using chemical weapons on civilian populations...anything to stay in power.

Supporting regimes that do these things is what has fed and nurtured ideologies such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS. Extreme oppression and aggression on a population will incite an equally extreme, oppressive and aggressive response.

"It may take another generation....or until I have enough money stashed away."

We need to stop allowing scum to profit off war. This retired general is a spineless mouthpiece for war corporations like Halliburton, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing.

The World will be a better place when war corporations such as those, are reigned in and exposed for what they are.

War is a racket!

those are all lies and were completely staged. It was the "Syrian rebels" who did
that. They got the stuff from Turkey/NATO - Assad did nothing of the sort !

And John Kerry paraded around a photo of dead bodies lined up saying this is what Assad did.

In reality that photo was years old and a picture from the Iraq war.

Games change.

Probably wanna rethink that Assad love.

Assad’s Forces May Be Aiding New ISIS Surge

Quote:
In the countryside northeast of Aleppo on Tuesday, Islamic State fighters fought rival Syrian insurgents amid fears that the Islamic State was positioning itself to make Aleppo its next big prize. Syrian opposition leaders accused the Syrian government of essentially collaborating with the Islamic State, leaving the militants unmolested as they pressed a surprise offensive against other insurgent groups — even though the government and the Islamic State are nominal enemies — and instead striking the rival insurgents.

No these are not lies. The Assad regime is no humanitarian outfit, it's a brutal dictatorship akin to Saddam Hussein, Gadaffi, etc... There was a popular uprising as part of the Arab Spring and he viciously cracked down on it, including indiscriminate murder of civilian populations, rape as a weapon and so forth.

People need to get the story book "good guy-bad guy" stuff out of their heads, this isn't a fairy tale or a 1980's Rambo/Rocky/Terminator movie. There are no "good guys" in this fight.
