So then let them continue to tie up local resources and revenue in our hospitals? Or should we come up with a solution?
How about our President stop giving the green light to everyone in Central America.
We'll never have a solution while the gates are open to everyone who want to cross over.

I know, it's terrible. We have all these Canadians that come here to shop. The parking lots can be a real pain.

You mean our past several Presidents?
Maybe republican legislators can actually come up with solutions to immigration instead of providing lip service to their constituents.
When is that SCOTUS ruling coming down!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
If they rule against the ACA, oh the butthurtedness coming from the left.........it will be almost
as funnneee as when Zimmerman got acquitted of all charges!!!!!!!!!
Hawaii......then all of the ACA, timber????????????
"Enrollment never reached the 300,000 number then-Gov. Neil Abercrombie, a Democrat, enthusiastically predicted at the opening press conference launching the Connector. The enrollment number also never hit 70,000, the minimum needed to stay financially solvent. At its peak, enrollment reached 37,000, a fraction of the state's 1.4 million people. Hawaii's uninsured population, at 8 percent when the exchange opened, dropped just 2 percent."
If you examine Hawaii's heatchcare system before Obamacare, it was pretty much single payer. So the people there seem to favor their exdisting single payer system over the ACA. Pretty interesting.
We're thrilled to hear that Limbaugh appreciates Hawaii's exemplary health care system.
Here's why:
1. Hawaii is a shining example of progressive health care reform. In fact, Hawaii is so forward-thinking that the Senate bill excludes Hawaii from some of its provisions, because Hawaii's requirements on employers go farther than the federal legislation.
Since 1974, Hawaii has required all employers to provide quality health care benefits to any employee who works 20 hours a week or more. Because of Hawaii's increased coverage, reports the New York Times, "hospital and insurance executives in Hawaii say they have been able to innovate efficiencies. For instance, the state's top three medical providers are adopting electronic medical records -- years ahead of most mainland counterparts."
One reporter noted "the medical system in Hawaii is as close to socialized medicine as there is in the United States, and, much of the Democrats reform bill is based in the Hawaii system."
2. Limbaugh stayed at Queen's Medical Center, where nursing staff are represented by the Hawaii Nurses' Association (read: a labor union). The nurses at Queen's are protected by their contract, which adheres to the ANA's safe-staffing principles guaranteeing appropriate staffing levels for any patient care unit.
In fact, Hawaii has one of the greatest percentages of organized workers of any state and also had the highest percentage of organized RNs. All private-sector acute care hospital RNs are organized, with just two known exceptions. We're guessing this might have something to do with why Limbaugh found the Hawaii hospital staff's work so "confidence-inspiring."
When Limbaugh was released from Queen's Medical Center, he cheerily noted, "The treatment I received here was the best that the world has to offer."
It's not the website - it's the management and cost. The state exchanges offer the exact same plans as the federal exchange. It's the subsidy arrangements and long-term costs. Nobody in Hawaii is going to suddenly sign up the federal website.
At the heart of the case the Supreme Court is debating is who pays the subsidies and who runs the exchanges.
Obama has proven in spades that we must add a "balanced-budget amendment" to our Constitution. Anyone with any sense knows you cannot spend more than you take in or you will be bankrupt.
The argument that "everyone borrows money" is bogus. "Everyone" who borrows money are also "everyone" who earns a living, no matter how. $'s are income. The government "earns" nothing! The government simply "TAKES" $'s from those who earn and distribute however they decide. Thus, without "earning" $'s, the government should never spend more than they "take" from those productive citizens in the American free economy.
The federal government produces nothing and is culpable for nothing. The federal government spends money which doesn't exist and nothing more.
The funny thing is everyone wants to work for da gubmint. Living in the DC area let's you watch many people and their careers while working for the government. It seems to be unrewarding but the pension isn't bad if you were working before they changed the pension system.
The fine, mitigated to zero by my tax credits is cheaper than any insurance plan foisted on us by Obortioncare.
