Yeah, I was going to say that if taking scientific claims seriously makes me a liberal and socialist (which it doesn't,) then I don't want to be on the other side.

Question for mm4: are you up in arms about dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO?) There are thousands of deaths from DHMO every year, it's almost always fatal when inhaled, it's a major component of acid rain, and it's also found in almost all of the GMO foods of which you are so afraid. So why isn't anyone doing anything about DHMO?

My choices are scientists who are informed on the topic of GMOs, or random people who found a cool article on Facebook...

I'll continue to eat GMO food. They're nutritionally the same and way cheaper.

And for the record, every person who is against GMOs that I know has always leaned left. I have yet to meet a conservative who fears GMOs. But this goes with the OPs usual argument 'if it's not my opinion, then it's the opinion of a communist.' The same argument has grown tiring. You can't post post the opinions of 7 left leaning articles to disprove the obviously cultural trend that liberals tend to be more skeptical of corporate power and GMO type things that conservatives.

Every anti-GMOer I know is liberal. They are appalled by the idea of science messing with their food, but can't really verbalize why. I think there will always be those who jump on whatever the drama of the day is (GMOs, gluten, anti-vaccine etc) instead of investigating the issue and forming an opinion based on science and not fear.

Many of us are Anti-GMO because we don't support nationless corporations patenting and owning food crops.

Stop pretending that if you reject GMOs you reject science. It has NOTHING to do with science and EVERYTHING to do with profit and accountability.

I don't give a flying f*@* if GMOs are safe or not. I won't go near them either way, as I do everything in my power to avoid giving money to such nationless pirate corporations that have infiltrated our Government and its institutions.

Food should be as local as possible anyway.

There seem to be plenty of anti-science, pro-conspiracy theory, anti-GMO nuts on both sides of the political spectrum.

It's also one compound to which exposure is 100% fatal. Virtually everyone that has ever died has been exposed to it.

Thanks for these. Truly a dangerous substance whatever its form (liquid, gas and solid).
Leave it to our lamestream media to drop the ball...again.

I am for GMO. Science is not a bad thing.

I am also for being careful with it, and labeling it.

The most rabid anti-GMO people I know are also on the left.
