“RATNER: And so my problem is is what's happened is the Zionists have really equated criticism of Israel with antisemitism. And that's just not right. It's not fair. And it's really suppressing an important, really important conversation that has to happen in this country.
Of course there's antisemitism. As I said, there's antisemites, there's anti-Muslims, and anti-Christians. There's people who hate atheists. And they're out there, and they're virulent. And of course there's a special history, of course, with Jews and antisemitism because of the Holocaust. And so people are obviously very, very sensitive to that, as they should be.
But to say that you can't do critiques of Israel because of what happened to Jews during the Holocaust seems to me completely unreasonable and cuts off, really, as I said, a crucial debate that's going to be necessary to actually get U.S. policy on track with what's required by law and human rights.”
I don't think most scientists would refer to themselves as being in the profession of science.
How about an actual Einstein quote?
Quote:
I fully agree with you about the significance and educational value of methodology as well as history and philosophy of science. So many people today, and even professional scientists, seem to me like someone who has seen thousands of trees but has never seen a forest. A knowledge f the historic and philosophical background gives that kind of independence from prejudices of his generation from which most scientists are suffering. This independence created by philosophical insights is, in my opinion, the mark of distinction between a mere artisan or specialist and a real seeker after truth.
A. Einstein to R. A. Thornton, unpublished letter dated 7 December 1944 (EA 6-754), Einstein Archive, Hebrew University, Jeruslem cited by Don Howard, "Albert Einstein as Philosopher of Science", Physics Today, December 2005, p.34.

This may have been an expanded articulation from the earlier and more simple statement.
Can't find any Einstein quotes on Tesla, either, but you know there were some.
Ever wonder what happens to energy when mass is "timed" the speed of light cubed?

Mandrake, have you ever "watched" a Virgoan think?
Can someone who actually cares the veracity of the *actual scientific content* (more than arguing over scientific content) please provide a link to the 60 retracted papers? I can't find them yet they keep referring to "a list." I want to know exactly what was faked.
Wait, we need to trust this science to the scientists. It's just too bad they got caught.

My partner is a scientist and she has never lied or faked results and looks at things objectively.
The problem is that, like in any discipline, a lot of scientists also have varying degrees of basic competence and range of thought, whether or however their work is intentional.
Wow. It does not appear that our scientists or our peer review process are nearly as trustworthy or reliable as we have been led to believe.
There have been 170 retractions so far with many more expected.
This is clearly a conspiracy within the scientific community to lie and to fake the validation of scientific results, for those simple minded folks who like to think that conspiracies are an impossibility.
Take comfort, we know that there is one activity we can trust. A place where there is no fraud, cheating or scandal.....the voting process!
For some reason people see this as sacred and it is as if a holy spirit descends upon them and keeps them honest.
As for science, it has been weaponized and at best it is only true for a moment.
Political agendas have become the lobbyists that tempt those conducting research, especially the universities. I'd suspect a good look at universities might turn up some interesting findings. Good money in regurgitating political pap.
The op story is not an indictment of all science and scientists. It does convey an important fact, all that you see is not science, it is weaponized propaganda. Look closely to tell the difference.
Interesting, we can't trust cops, we can't trust the church, we can't trust science..who is there to trust? Ah, the gooerment, we can trust the gooerment because they care about us. Be sure to vote...twice
