Care to elaborate? You're kinda sounding like Rush Limbaugh.

Yes, I have noticed that. But it's really just a continuation of the pattern that we've sadly seen there over the last 8 years.

Mayor slams state of Kansas' intrusion in municipal government tax policy | CJOnline.com

“This is not the typical thoughtful policymaking process Kansans expect or deserve,” Gerlach said. “At the 11th hour and under great pressure to complete a state budget, the Kansas Senate enacted a major local budgetary policy decision impacting all cities and counties across the state without any committee discussion, without any public input, without a full understanding of the implications of this legislation.”
Brownback was wrong for following the failed economic conservative policy of tax cuts pay for themselves.

This has been proven for decades and conservatives ignore the data.

It seems as if the conservatives in the state of Kansas will now raise sales taxes further hurting the poor.

But they at least are now bowing to reality instead of the fiction of conservatives and Brownback that it takes time for their insane economic policies to work.

Net result:

Tax cuts and wealth redistribution to the rich.

Tax increases and benefit cuts for the middle class and the poor.

That's the Republican agenda in a nutshell. I dunno why it would surprise anybody at this point.

On the news this morning they said a family that spends $300.00 per week on groceries will pay about $750.00 more per year. Anyone near the state line would be a fool to not shop in Mo.

I though the GOP was against redistribution of wealth but that is exactly what they did

It's all they do, cut taxes for rich people, plus pass some anti voter laws, anti birth control and abortion laws, anti homosexual laws, and maybe an anti sharia law bill.

It's mind numbing.

I'll say this somewhat unrelated, but Democratic voters have to start turning out every election, cause we keep ending up with conservatives in these low voter turn out off year elections.

Let's take Scott Walker, in his two elections he received fewer votes than MittRmoney and John McCain, who both got crushed by President Obama.

I mean seriously Scott Walker has barely topped 1.2million votes in Wisconsin. President Obama 1.6million

Chris Christie 1.2million President Obama well over 2.1million.
John Kasich in Ohio 1.9million. President Obama 2.8million.
Rick Synder in Michigan 1.6million. President Obama 2.5million.
Paul LePage in Maine 290thousand. President Obama 400thousand
Bruce Rauner in Illinois 1.8million. President Obama 3million
L. Hogan in Maryland 847thousand. President Obama 1.6million
Rick Scott in Florida 2.8million. President Obama 4.2million.

This is how conservatives win in state after state. Huge percentages of voters just don't show up and vote in off year elections. This allows conservatives to win not by being more popular with the residents of a state, but to win based on low voter turnout.

Very well stated. Let's debunk this meme about the GOP being against redistributing wealth. That's what their entire philosophy is based on. Only they are only interested in distributions that move up to the very top. For the middle and lower classes, wealth redistribution is bad, bad, bad!!!!

$750/($300 x 52) = 4.8% not the 0.35% that it actually increased.

It's $55 more per year, not $750.

Oh, and here's a source because sometimes people make stuff up.

"At least $300 a week, pretty close to it," Guenther said of her grocery bill.

At the current state rate, Guenther's grocery bill in Mission is $327. When the new rate kicks that same bill is going to be about $328.
