I dunno. I think these Maryland and Connecticut lawmakers would be able to enact this quite easily in their own states. It's when they start to push it on the rest of the country that the hate and discontent starts.

Doesn't Connecticut already have this law?

Nj requires a background check, fingerprints, release of medical reocrds and a NICS check to get a firearm ID card.

Once you have the firearm ID card you need to go through the process again to get a permit to purchase a pistol, which has a limited duration. When you buy your pistol a NICS check is run before handing you the gun.

With all that said and the Graves act requiring a mandatory 3 year sentence for crime involving firearms, the murder rate in places like Newark continue to rise above historic levels. since the 60s not a month has gone by without a murder. today they long for the good old days of a murder a month.

To suggest such ineffective laws it to endanger citizens for political gain and forwrd an agenda of a complete ban of private ownership.

the real issue of drugs and gangs, the source of violent crime is continually ignore because the perps refuse to purchase a subscription to the latest restrictive gun laws.

the location of the next violent crime is predictable. Stick pins in a map and notice where the murders cluster. the proposed law does absolutely nothing to take advantage of the predictability that is unescapable if you dare take the slightest glance.

Don't know why Missouri is included in your rant. It is very easy here to buy a gun and get a permit. And you can carry a loaded handgun in your car with no permit at all.
