"All Lives Matter" is a gloss. It shields the central problem in this society since Slavery - the mistreatment of blacks by that segment of whites who are racist. "Black Lives Matter" is far more accurate in addressing the problem.

We must always make the distinction rather than using glosses so that Conservatives can avoid being slammed for their ongoing racist behavior and attitudes towards black people.

"All Lives Matter" IMO, and I will be frank, is just a bunch of whining people who want to continuously criticize black people

Oddly enough, these are the same ones (some of whom even commented on this thread) that say blacks "need to fix" some sort of ailment in the "black community."

When black people aim to do these things, they are then labeled as "exclusionary."

To those complaining on here about "black on black crime" there are already many black people working on crime. This is the primary reason why crime has decreased amongst the black population, even in Chicago....

But the whole whining IMO is that some specific white people and others are just upset that blacks do anything without them included. If they are not, they try to pain blacks as being just as bad as they are.

It really is weird IMO.

One of the really disturbing ones to me are some people being upset at the "Black Girls Rock" organization and even "Black Girls Run." Both of whom were created to combat social ills that disproportionately affect black females. Black women organize to help black females (after they are criticized for being welfare moms and baby mommas and too fat and obese) with programs to halt these negatives and then they are criticized for not including white girls, or everyone in general. It really is like a WTF moment IMO.

Either you want us to help ourselves or you don't. People shouldn't get so invested in the name of an organization or a slogan. Ironically it is similar to the stealing of "Black Power" back in the 60s and 70s. After the Black Power Movement started, you all of a sudden had many groups take inspiration from women, to the elderly, to Asians, to American Indians, to Latinos, etc. The only ones who made it negative were white people with their "White Power" which was just the new KKK and skinheads.

Just weird IMO.

Like I've said before: please tell THAT to the hood rats; they're the BIG reason that so many Black dudes are dying each year.

It's about police brutality and how law enforcement isn't held accountable.

Slaves didn't get kidnapped by interlopers on the West Coast of Africa. They were sold into it by their own tribes. Just business. Cold.

A better slogan would have been: Black lives matter, too.

This very inconvenient fact to the "Black Lives Matter" crowd will continue to be completely ignored.

Black Lives Matter is needed. All Lives Matter implies there is no issue of systematic racism in this country. Wrong! Every 28 hours an unarmed black man is killed by police.

Of course all lives matter. We're talking about the black ones. Because until the black ones start to matter, "all lives matter" is a lie. Clearly the life of a black person is not deemed important and that needs to change.

Blacks don't seem to have any issues at all when blacks shoot other blacks. See Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, etc. This happens far far more often police shootings, which almost always, are justified.

So until Blacks bring that issue into the "Black Lives Matter" discussion, the rest of society will pay it no mind because obviously "Black Lives Matter" but only when shot by a White.

Yeah, Black Lives Matter. So much so that they'll come up with a catchy slogan but fail to address the core issues of why the ghetto mentality is to live a thug life. Maybe if more effort were put into promoting education as a way out of poverty there wouldn't be so much crime, violence, and death. Instead, some want to create their own societal rules and then complain when mainstream society doesn't embrace them. If Black Lives Matter, then get an education, join the hard working, productive members of society and promote self reliance over being a dependent pawn of the elected ruling class.
