Maybe it is time for Christians to take a hard look at themselves and figure out why some people hate them. Could it be the desire to deny civil rights to certain groups of people based on their personal religious beliefs? Could it be their stated goal to legalize systemic discrimination against people? Could it be the constant hate and bigotry that is spewed by Christian leaders and faith based groups directed toward people of different faiths and lifestyles? Or maybe the fact that many Christians use their religion as a shield against criticism or a means to condemn and vilify others?
Speaking of open season, it's going to be another long, hot summer. Instead of being bitter over being criticized, Christians ought to be a lot more concerned about shootings in their churches, such as the recent mass killing incident in South Carolina.

No, Jesus was not a libertine. But he sure hung out with those who were, and libertines sought hime out as well.
And that scripture applies equally to your very exclusive thinking. If you want to be like Jesus, you accept everyone for who they are and let them come around to your way if they will, not vice versa. Otherwise, upi are nothing but another latter-day Pharisee.
So what? Doesn't the First Amendment permit that? And if the word of God is being attacked inside the church, they have the right to censor the person and tell him or her to leave the premises.
The word of your god is irrelevant when it prevents the equal treatment of people under the law that is required by the US Constitution.
However, what you said is not even true. Where did god ever say that gay people shouldn't get married or that baking a cake for a gay couple was a sin?
Jumping to blame right-wing or left-wing is a behavior of disgusting people.
