The left doesn't support Islam, it supports multicultural acceptance. You're applying a reductive view that conflates preventing your deporting brown people who dare say "Allah" in public with the support of religious terrorism. Adherants of Islam in the US, by the way, mostly supported Republicans before 9/11 prompted a wave of right-wing xenophobia that pushed them to the left.
Brown is a race? You ain't talking about Arabs since they're counted as "anglo white" here in Arizona. lol
So you get to decide who is Christian and who isn't? Better leave that to the man upstairs (if he exists). Mormons claim to be Christians and who am I or you to say differently.
I don't understand why you are asking me that question - I was replying to some distorted myths concerning the Catholic Theology, something I know about as a Catholic.
Perhaps you aren't aware that different Christian denominations, including the Latter-Day Saints, interpret the Bible differently using different versions of the Bible. Thus, Christian Theology can be different among Christians, yet all are Christians. I was merely discussing the Catholic version of Christian Theology.
If the Pope called for freedom from oppressive governments and fascist dictators, he might be on to something. But it seems the focus from him is on all of us free people giving away all we work for, and just give it to people who live under the boot of a despotic regime, who will then be able to continue oppressing them, instead.
I wonder how these liberal, pagan, Earth worshippers will handle having a man of God on their side on an issue for once. Could be the perfect storm.
Yes, the response will be interesting….because the portion of this encyclical that wasn't leaked to the press ahead of it's official release, was Pope Francis' logic equating protecting the earth with protecting unborn babies from abortion.
I wonder, when the Press reports on this aspect of the encyclical, will the 'liberal, pagan, Earth worshippers' still love this Pope?

And Catholic politicians like Pelosi, stepped right into it, by using the Pope's encyclical calling for climate legislation because we have a moral responsibility to protect "god's creation," the planet. Now she will have to square that one with the Pope saying allowing abortion and being a treehugger are incompatible.
"Since everything is interrelated, concern for the protection of nature is also incompatible with the justification of abortion," the encyclical says. "How can we genuinely teach the importance of concern for other vulnerable beings, however troublesome or inconvenient they may be, if we fail to protect a human embryo, even when its presence is uncomfortable and creates difficulties?"
Actually the US emits almost three times as much CO2 per person than China does, and ten times as much per person as India.
Guess that must explain why we look like this:
Whoops, my bad that's China
