A number of members of the U.S. Congress are charging up to $5,000 for group tickets to the Taylor Swift concerts on July 13 and 14 as a fundraiser.

It seems odd to me that they would choose a Taylor Swift concert. While I understand politicians are attempting to get more creative with their fundraiser, this one is still a head scratch-er to me. It's going to be interesting to see how this pans out and to see what, if any, involvement Taylor Swift has in this or future politics.

$5,000 to see Taylor Swift 'preform' live? That's stupid on it's own. I don't care who's asking for that money, I would never do that even for a better musician.

Maybe for Jimi Hendrix....

Seriously 5 grand for 1 concert? You'd have to raise jerry garcia back from the dead to reunite the Grateful Dead, and raise Levon Helm, Rick Danko, and Richard Manuel from the dead to reunite the Band for me to shell that kind of cash out for 1 show.
