This is a horrible situation, and I am appalled by the actions of this man. I feel for the families that lost loved ones and I hope that the perp gets brought to justice (or death) soon. The political and racial culture in our great nation is going down the tubes and getting worse every single day.

Such a tragic incident. The killer murdered these people attending a bible study group in a church. The violent and cruel crime perpetrated by a human being against all these innocent people is truly impossible to fathom.

The OP was right on with the title, this was an unholy act of a man.

No matter how you feel about church's and organized religion these were most likely good people, trying to live good lives when evil rose up and took that from them

If there truely is a God I hope all their souls found their way home.

Everyone of us knows how this is going to play no matter what your political or philosophical stripe.

Nine people have been killed by a gunman at a black church in South Carolina.

Why did he do it? Of course the initial conclusion reached by the press is because of racism, which may turn out to be correct. But why do that at a church, other than that he wanted to kill Christians? Or maybe the reason is more complicated still.

And of course do we know for sure that this man actually did it? The press gets it wrong so often, it is hard to automatically give them the benefit of the doubt at this point.

Nine people have been killed after a gunman opened fire on members of a historic African-American church in South Carolina. The victims are three men and six women. Three people survived the attack.

The shooter spent an hour inside the church at a Bible meeting before opening fire. He is said to be white, in his 20s, and could be driving a black four door sedan.

It's a tragedy however it's sliced. My sympathy is with the victims and their families but unfortunately the media and the activists will have a field day with this. These things almost always boil down to some kind of insanity.
