Obama doesn't care about anyone else execpt his poltical agenda. Obama said himself in his book that he would be whatever the people around him want him to be. He is a master at showing the world he is something his is not, and he is what he is when it suits him. He is a black man when it's convenient for him, a white man when it works for him, a Muslim when he has to be and finally he claims to be a Christian when it suits his needs too. The reality is he very well might be the anti-Christ.
The sad thing about Obama as a man and his Presidency is that he had the opportunity to be one of the greatest Presidents we ever had. He Squandered it with his arrogance, his determination to not compromise and work for every American, his constant need to settle political and personal scores by abusing his power, and last but not least his prejudice against everyone whom isn't black.
Even as a Republican I had high high hopes for the man and so badly wanted him to succeed but he was never able to get out of the way, or his own pettiness and insecurities. His inexperience as a leader shown through early and often. This country may never recover from Obama and his cronies, which in a way is exactly what Obama wanted. He wanted to change America. Mostly everyone agreed he wanted to change ot for the better. I think this is the America Obama always envisioned.
So says a partisan hack! You had Mitch McConnell as Senate leader of the GOP utter that his main goal upon Obama's Election was to make him a "One Term President". What sort of "Compromise" were you seeking? As for America "recovering" from Obama? You mean Positive GDP growth since he was elected? Record stock market? UnEmployment lows? Killing Bin Laden? Withdrawing from the IRAQ & Afghanistan Wars that were draining our Economy? ObamaCare which insured millions of Un-Insured Americans?
And Medicare, which a surprising number of people don't realize and which most Americans rely on in retirement.
First of all, both Medicare and Social Security are not entitlements in the form of handouts. They are forced programs workers were/are compelled to contribute to. So unlike programs like Medicaid & Welfare that are giveaways, people expect to get their money back out.
Also as an FYI, people were never suppose to depend on those programs for their retirements, it was meant to be a supplement. Yet many people are too irresponsible to save, invest, and plan for their futures. The entitlement mentality has become an epidemic in this country, and it is a newer phenomenon than most realize.
Obama is of course a champion of these programs because he has never met a redistribution program he didn't love.
There was an older lady in my bowling league was head cheerleader for the Tea Party...meantime she lived quite nicely on a state worker's pension and health care for life. "I got mine, F the rest of you".
Interesting way of looking at this.
First of all, she obviously worked for a living, and put in enough years to earn a pension. Why would anyone be dismissive/envious of that, or be willing to deride it is some fashion
Secondly, most state workers are part of a union, which is about as (D) as you can get.
My Father gets a pension after having worked 36 years for his local city/government. While he does not take an "F the rest of you" attitude, he has little sympathy for those who squandered their lives and didn't work while he was busting his hump for close to have of his life.
I heard that Obama was going to speak about the tragic shooting that took place yesterday in a SC church.
While I have thought he too often makes national speeches/comments on local issues which is beneath the office of the presidency (almost exclusively when blacks are perceived to be harmed), this one seemed valid enough to express that the nation was in mourning.
As he started, I said to someone "I hope he makes this about the victims, and avoids injecting politics in it". I was asked what I meant, and said "I hope he leaves race and gun control out of it, as this is about the victims, but I doubt he will be able to".
The speech started out good, but sure enough he started in with race, and eventually gun control. The victims are not even properly mourned nor buried yet, but that didn't stop him from politisizing this disiclable act.
I guess he has learned at the alter of Saul Alinsky and Rahm "dead fish" Emanuel, never allow a tragedy to go to waste (i.e unexploited).
Now I know the Obama koolaid drinkers will be in to say it was his best speech ever, with perfect tone and appropriateness.
However, sooner or later they must understand that our president is suppose to be above the fray, and represent us all, especially during tragic events.
I want to him to make a great speech that will bring comfort to those who are closest to the victims, as well as the entire nation.
Yet my fear came to pass when he went down that predictable path again.
If he wanted to go into his usual race/gun related rant, he could have done so after the victims were mourned and buried.
That would have been the decent and proper thing to do.
Anyone who was raised old school, no matter their race, will know this to be true.

You just missed a perfect opportunity to find common ground with the POTUS and make a stand against " Domestic Terrorism " all common sense American must take a stand against white men who walk inside of a African-American Church " of all places and " Cold Bloodily Murder 9 Innocence Good American Citizens " this could not be addressed without the mention of Race.
So says a partisan hack! You had Mitch McConnell as Senate leader of the GOP utter that his mabecause e, ttgoal upon Obama's Election was to make him a "One Term President". What sort of "Compromise" were you seeking? As for America "recovering" from Obama? You mean Positive GDP growth since he was elected? Record stock market? UnEmployment lows? Killing Bin Laden? Withdrawing from the IRAQinherited Obama Wars that were draining our Economy? ObamaCare which insured millions of Un-Insured Americans?
The economy that is still flat and propped up by the FED? The GDP rate growth is still below average. Unemployment lows because people stopped receiving extended benefits and gave up looking for work. The record stock market propped up by cheap money printing and QE 1, 2 and 3. have you heard of ISIS? Thats whst withdrawing from two wars got us. Last but not least, soaring debt trillions of dollars more than what he inherited and the big lie of them all Obama care.
Huh? Bring race into it? The entire tragedy is about race. It would be silly to ignore that.
If 9 women at a NOW meeting were shot and killed and the president mentions violence against women, would that be bringing gender into it?
Folks, there is nothing wrong with discussions about race. Trying to avoid it (especially when obvious) makes one look delusional and yes, racist.
So if 9 men were killed, would their gender be a worthy topic of discussion, or is that only reserved for PC protected groups?
As to the race question, maybe you have not read through much of this thread. Clearly race was a factor now that more information(beyond pure speculation).
No one suggests it never be discussed, just that a proper time and pace be chosen. Not while the blood is still not cleaned up.
Obama didn't need to discuss the freaks motivations in his initial speech to extend the nations condolences to the victims.
Why is that so hard for some of you to understand?
Liberal policies foment dependency. It is not called slavery, but it essentially makes people beholden to a power structure.
Conservative principles, especially those of a fiscal nature empower the individual, regardless of race. So no, conservatives don't typically favor policies based on special treatment of people because of their gender, religion, sex, etc.
As to the absurd comment I highlighted, you can pretend to frame it in a way you think accurate, but it has nothing to do with race.
If Obama were a conservative, the Tea Party would support him. Any liberal, even a socialist like Bernie Sanders would be under attack by the Tea Party. They would want to take back the White House from him, but would you call that racism as well?

America has a doctor shortage? Don't believe it. America is glutted with them. As many as there are and for how effective they are they should be lucky to get minimum wage for their services. As it is medicine in much of the Free World is run like a Guild. Prices are fixed and non-negotiable and they are NOT based on what the market will bear. People were stuck. Not just black people, or lazy people but good hard working people like yourself. You were unable to pay the equivalent of a months wages for 10 minutes of medical care. What to do? People needed medicine and medical advice and it was priced out of reach of all but the wealthiest of the wealthy. A First World Country cannot abide such a disgrace. So entities arose to pool the financial resources of Americans so they could pay the out of sight medical expenses that doctors demanded. And when the doctors saw just how much money the Insurance Companies were amassing in assets they raised their rates accordingly. Rinse, repeat until 2015. A 15 minute consultation is $100. Tests of which there will be several will be a couple hundred dollars each. Medication (count on it) will cost hundreds of dollars every month. Repeat at quarterly intervals until you die of whatever is ailing you.
Medical Insurance is not a Liberal invention. Obamacare is only a variation on traditional American Style multi-payer health coverage. It is modeled in large part after a successful program introduced in Massachusetts on Mitt Romney's watch. Dependency? All Conservatives are not racist but all racists are Conservative. A Conservative America would have zero trouble blocking access to the health coverage that Conservative Americans take for granted. You cannot get an aspirin unless your race is known by someone in the healthcare chain of services. African Americans in hospital care routinely die because they are denied life saving drugs or through botched procedures which happens to all Americans but happens at a very much more disproportionate rate to black Americans.
Half of white Americans do not like black Americans. This is patently ridiculous, but it is very true. The reason they don't like blacks run the gamut. But they are the usual tired stereotypes and mostly they are no longer true or are true only of a subset of black people that the people expressing the dislike will never, ever meet. There is a cost for this hatred. This racism. The cost is in black lives. Few or no white lives are lost due to black racism. Black racism is mostly black indifference to assimilation into the white culture. The majority of black people don't think about white people all that much and when they do what they feel is disappointment and anger at all the hatred that is directed at them. There is no hatred coming from the black race the hatred is all coming in towards the black race. The UK, Canada and much of Western Europe has allowed those blacks that want to to culturally assimilate and there does not exist this fractious apartheid that persists in the United States.
Black people have the same intellectual artistic and emotional potential of any white person you could name, and the very visible ghetto culture is created artificially by dint of white exclusion and is in no way indicative of anything intrinsic to the black individual. Doesn't someone with your gift of gab have better things to do than craft endless streams of opinion on race baited topics? Race is like dog breeds. You might argue that a Pit Bull is one thing and a Springer Spaniel is another but all bets are off if you let them mate. Humanity is interbred all to hell and gone and in particular the early American ancestors of today's WASP's were all up in the DNA of the slaves they brought from Africa. And a fair amount of Mandingo DNA also found its way into the core genetics of the ruling classes of polite society.
Obama should not talk about race? Why not? More accurately, Obama should not talk about color. Why not? If Obama were white you would not have found anything wrong with his speech even if he talked about color. It's ok for a white person to say "racism is wrong" but it is in poor taste for a black person to do so. Hmmmm.
