*shrug* Many idiots have media at their disposal and many idiots have this type of media (message boards) to spread their stupidity too.

They're idiots if they do. Why alienate half of your potential audience?

I'm a small business owner. I keep my political opinions to myself.

I think celebrity talk frightens the right. Endless whining from that direction confirms it.

To me it is scary that the left actually think these people have something useful to say. They are some of the biggest ignorant hypocrites around yet people hold some kind of respect for them.

It is scary how dumb the left really is for sure. And the right are not the whiny ones, you have that backwards. Just let the capitalists keep capitalizing on their stupidity I guess. Maybe someday they will learn but that is questionable.

I would have voted no except that the qualifier "this is good for democracy" is not correct. An influential idiot having a platform is not a good thing.

Kim, a Democrat, may end up running for office

So celebrities should have their right to speak freely just because they disagree with you? The I could apply that to the current crop of Republican presidential candidates. They are, or will soon be, celebrities and I disagree with their positions on religion, culture and economics. Will all you candidates please shut up. Thank you.

Seems the right is always griping about celebrity comments. But then they elect actors: Fred Thompson, Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fred Grandy, etc...

Enough to elect them to high office. See above. And let's include Donald Trump - certainly a celebrity of the right.

Kinda sounds like a whiny post.

Should all Celebrities keep their political opinions to themselves???

I love listening to some of these guys -- I love how they go on and on sometimes, all the while proving how unrealistic and dis-attached they are by their words .. It's actually quite entertaining really.

Let them speak up - Say what's on their minds - Getting a good laugh every now and again can't be a bad thing.
