I don't think the teen should be fired but I find the fireman's post to be abhorrent and worthy of dismissal. Why are people going after teenagers now though? I mean really get a life people.
"Half of minorities might as well have “you should feel bad for being white” tattooed on their foreheads."
Can't argue with that. Anti-white racism has been the law of the land for sometime. I feel bad for white kids going to colleges that steep them in self-hatred and actually pay for the experience.
Nope.
It's a volunteer fire department, funded by donations and fund-raisers. And possibly, optional fees assessed to the community served, in the form of "memberships".
Without a doubt, this firefighter's comments would have negatively impacted the VFD's ability to raise money. Probably catastrophically so. On the flip side, it's been reported that there's been a surge in donations due to their immediate and forceful response in this issue. Not only was he fired but he was told trespassing charges will result if he ever sets foot on VFD property.
Exactly! Right wingers rave about the free market all the time. They should be willing to accept its consequences. I guess it's suddenly different when it affects them personally.
How does it affect right wingers personally when a teenager on drugs shoots up a church? I don't see a plethora of right wingers defending this sick murderer.

OTOH, plenty of right wingers, including Presidential candidares, stepped up to deflect what drove the mass murderer to kill the innocent, even though he made that quite clear. Why?
Posting crap for the world to see brings public wrath down on the employees, friends, family and other connections that the poster has. It's the culture we created. It's frightening to think that about how this stuff is exploding.
I can't personally see a solution since everyone seems addicted to social media. I rarely use any of it, just a few things and few people, but even that's too much for me some times. I get angry. And if my limited exposure has that effect on me I can only imagine the global impact this has on the world.
