Looks a heck of a lot like a Republican bill to me. I suspect it is Obama who caved to Republican interests. Or, I should say that Obama caved to big business interests...which Republicans were already running with anyway.

No, I don't think Obama "caved" to Republicans. I think he is really gung ho about this monstrosity. Republicans have asked if there is anything Democrats disapprove of this president for, and this would be one of them.

That said, looking at the vote tally, there can be little doubt that Republicans love this trade bill and will have to own it. The president can't sign what Congress refuses to send to his desk. This got to him purely through the support of Republicans.

No, Ted changed his mind because he found out the trade bill is a big leap for immigration, after the admin had reassured everyone that it wouldn't involve immigration at all. Well, Ted's smarter than most because he actually read the bill, and that's what changed his mind. Rubio didn't even read it. How can someone vote to pass a bill they haven't even read? They are idiots to trust the Obama admin.

"He said prior to the first Senate vote, the Obama administration assured lawmakers the bill did not involve changes to federal immigration law. But, a subsequent WikiLeaks post revealed portions of an agreement falling under TPA, which “explicitly” made changes to immigration law.
“The assurances we had been given appear to be contradicted by the text of the trade agreement that came out after,” Cruz told reporters following the Senate’s vote."

How much was your senator paid for voting for fast track?

I love it, I really do.

I hope and pray those hurt most are the left wing silicon valley morons that gave Obama victory not once but twice.

I fully support the importation of 1 million Pakistani H1b's so they can feel like those in middle America, the people they most dispise, when they opened their moron sanctuary cities that lowered wages for everyone but themselves. I relish the prospect of payback especially since their good buddy communist Obama will be the one giving it to them.

The United States is no longer one country but five countries ready to come apart.

Others will take heat in different ways. Remember this was to give Obama the Ok to reach a tentative agreement. It would still have to go thru congress. Union pressures likely and considering seeing the results where Obama appeared last election they see him as no help or even toxic as many liberals said in media, Trail lawyers who are associated with unions are the most influential special interest in Democratic party now days.

Default Your leftist Change prez is pushing to sign secret trade deals Congress can't legally do anything about when exposed.

With Trade Promotion Authorization, Congress will legally be prohibited from viewing the secret TPP trade deal until after Obama has signed it into law.

Congress will also be legally prohibited from making changes to it once it's made public. That's world government.

It includes new, loosened immigration work-visa laws that supersede the laws of the U.S.--and the U.S. will be bound by them when they come for your jobs.
