While Cuba has seen several economic reforms, including entrepreneurial opportunities for its citizens, under President Raul Castro much of the censorship and oppression that has characterized the Communist regimes of the Castro brothers still remains.
According to the Washington Post, this year, when the U.S. and Cuba have been moving toward normalizing diplomatic relations and opening up trade and travel, dozens of artists, activists and dissidents have been arrested and detained.
“Money is not going to solve Cuba,” said Tania Bruguera, an artist who is a Cuban national and who made headlines in December when Cuban authorities arrested her after she planned a performance in Havana’s Revolution Plaza that was focused on freedom of expression.
What a surprise ... NOT. Just as I predicted, nothing will change except now the Castro regime will be funded with American money. God we are so stupid
The only way we will get rid of the Castro regime is to invade and annex Cuba.

Because we have SUCH expertise at changing other country's regimes, eh?
Given the scum we deal with in places like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, China, et al it seems damn foolish to worry about whether Castro remains in power or not, we've already had our nose in far too many places it never belonged.

All Obama is doing is making Castro wealthier, so he can be a more powerful despotic communist dictator. If we opened up free trade with North Korea, does anyone think the Kims would suddenly go freedom and democracy on us? No, Kim would just have more wealth at his disposal.

Sad to say, but you're 100 percent right here.
Cuba: I'm surprised the Castros are still alive in 2015, both of them are very old, sick men.

Suddenly no, eventually yes. They would no longer have a monopoly on that wealth.
Who cares ? Only some Cubans in Miami and Fox News Latino.
Capitalism is not for everyone and nothing will change Cuba faster than hungry American entrepenuers going there and investing their money. It's not like Raul is driving a Rolls and Living in a 1000 room mansion (like the leader of Turkey).
Besides everyone says Cuba is nicer than most other Caribbean countries - I would like to visit someday.

How many more wars do you want to start??
