Racists took over the Confederate flag in the same way they took over the conservative movement and the tea party. Now, these must be purged and decency, tolerance and respect restored.
Did they take over the statues too ? Because that is the item on today's MSM agenda.
The flag is coming down, Republican Mitch McConnell wants Jefferson Davis' statue removed from the Kentucky state capitol, and Walmart and Amazon will no longer sell Confederate merchandise. Not quite the reaction Dylann Storm Roof was hoping for.

I don't think so. I never saw a bigot with a statue in the back of his truck. I don't frequent hate speech tolerant web sites other than C-D, so I don't know if there are depictions of civil war leaders on those pages. I doubt it. I don't agree with the efforts to remove them and think folks are getting a bit carried away. But that is up to the people in those cities.
