ISIS uses US weapons, the US dollar, drives around in a fleet of Toyotas,
constricts its prisoners in orange jumpsuits, issues quarterly reports like a
financial institution, receives medical care for its wounded at Israeli hospitals,
operates within 10 miles from Israel and was led by "al-Baghdadi" who went
to college in Israel and died in an Israeli hospital, and you still believe the U.S.
is trying to stop ISIS ?

Relax...

The countries where ISIS is active and the countries right next door aren't worried about it. They aren't lifting a finger to fight those jerks. They're perfectly content to let us do it and it isn't even our fight. If ISIS was such a big problem, then Saudi, Jordan, and Turkey would wipe them out in three days or less. The fact that they're exactly nothing should give you a clue about how "dangerous" these bozos running around in the back of pickups with AK-47s really are.

They don't want to beat ISIS... in fact, they made ISIS and are covertly supporting it on one hand while openly fighting against it on the other. Once you understand that, the way things are going make a lot more sense.

Keeping the citizens insecure creates the need for the huge spending on national defense.

That's a given. They want a reason for the American people to demand more protection so they can remove more of our inalienable rights and make us safe. I really won't feel safe until I'm personalty tucked into bed by the commander of a tank battalion.
Perhaps we can pass a bill, to get a field artillery piece, set up in the hallway to protect us, should we have to travel to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Yep. That's about how I see it. Keep Americans scared to the point where we'll exchange more of our individual freedoms and liberties for more security, so that those in power have even more control over the people.

"Fighting ISIS" is a sound-bite, NOT the requested strategy.

It's so odd......so many seem to realize it's either not a real threat or not our problem but here we are still mired in this mess.

That's the idiot in the WH for you.

He is desperately trying not to offend anyone.

All this foreign policy is junk to him because it interferes with his social engineering projects ongoing in the US.

If I was the DIC (dictator in Charge) the terrorists would cease to exist. Pure and simple. Being POTUS is not about a popularity contest but making the ugly decisions and having the cojones to stand by those decisions. Obama has a record in the Senate of only voting "present".

He never made a decision then and he is terrified to make one now. He doesn't want his narcissism damaged and goes out of his way to defer any action for as long as possible.

This is about the countries failed social engineering policies in the middle east.

You can't really destroy a made up enemy.

Sounds like you've been watching too many Harry Potter movies.

Otherwise, what exactly would be your warfighting strategy...and particularly, how would you handle the logistical problem of maintaining secure supply lines to US troops in northern Iraq while surrounded by hostile nations?

Take away the profits from waging war and watch how quickly that changes.
