In all seriousness, I want to know more about this story before passing judgment. Most cops are not looking to harm/kill people, even criminals (forget the movie Magnum Force).

If this is as bad as the initial reports are making it out to be, the officer/s need to be disciplined/retrained and/or fired.

The Los Angeles Police Department says their officers shot and then handcuffed an unarmed man on Friday evening because they believed he was holding a gun in a towel (his hand was wrapped in a towel, probably because it was injured).
LAPD Shoots Unarmed, Injured Man In The Head When He Flags Them Down For Help - Crime Feed

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT INTERNAL INVESTIGATION

Interview Transcript

LAPD Investigator: Why did you shoot the unarmed man in the head?

LEO #1: He was was menacing us by asking for assistance.

LEO #2: We feared for our lives.

LEO #1: He could have taken our tasers with his one good hand, so we shot him multiple times before he had the chance to do something so nefarious.

LEO #2: Besides, he looked like a thug.

LAPD Investigator: Thank you, officers. That will be all.

Conclusion
Officers cleared of all wrongdoing, both given raises, and each awarded a commendation for not exceeding the limit of one innocent unarmed civilian shot per month.

Why do so many cops hate citizens?

If you are really this afraid - "I was in fear for for my life" - I'm sure this will be the excuse; why even sign up to be a cop? There are plenty of other professions that a coward can hold.

Let's follow this one

Other news sources also very slanted add to this story
This was the second shooting of the day with similar circumstances for LAPD... except in the the first one the suspect was armed

So... internet tacticians... man runs at you yells police extending his covered arm as if he is holding a weapon... police yell drop the gun....he does not expose his arm or put up his hands
Then officer shoots him...

Do you
Wait for the person to show a covered weapon?
Do you wait for the suspect to fire first?
Do you shoot a potentially unarmed person?

How long do you wait ?

In training situations where civilians are put through the above scenario citizens routinely shoot long before the police do just about every time.

Suicide by cop... yes.. people who are cowards do it...

Let's follow this one... and for those of you already decided... let's see if and when you are proven wrong whether you will admit it...
Me.. I'll let the facts go where they go....

Op.. posting links only without comment provides no opinion on your part ...except when the links are fringe websites....

Just more psycho, paranoid PTSD infected police who consider the public and anybody not a cop to be the enemy.

Ah, so we all need to go naked in public so the police don't shoot us for having a concealed weapon? Kinda makes CCW licenses a mute point. Well at least it will be comfortable in the summer, but winter is really going to suck

Wow, so the armed police were so scared of the guy after they shot him, that they handcuffed him? OMG how big of a weenie do you have to be to handcuff a dying man?

Some of the police seem to be stirring the pot and causing trouble for themselves for no apparent reason.
