The SC didn't just make a ruling... under political pressure, they rewrote the law as it was written, so the government can grab more power illegally from the people and give it to them.

Ah yes, now the elected Rs can breathe a collective sigh of relief and yet, still be able to rile up their most ardent rubes.

The GOP will continue to do everything they can to destroy the ACA, 21 states refuse to expand Medicaid, remove tax on medical devices, elimination of an independent oversight board. The best is the lawsuit because of the ACA softening the requirement for employers to provide insurance, wasn't the impact on businesses their primary concern?

Seems like they should move on and offer legislation to improve the ACA rather than destroy.

That is the official talking point, however, courts historically and routinely interpret Congressional intent and context. It is clear from the rest of the law and the documentation regarding passage, that the word "State" was meant to refer to "government" in general and not the 50 states.

What is sad, is that in the past, the Congress would have merely understood the error and passed a bill correcting those four words and it wouldn't need to go to the courts.

The GOP is in a bind since the ACA is now more favorable than unfavorable.

What's the evidence that the intent was never to coerce states into establishing their own exchanges?

So funny - look at all these seniors sucking up Medicare at three to four times the contributions they put in, complaining about Obamacare. Seniors love redistribution as long as it benefits them.

The Supreme Court decision to uphold the law by a vote of 6-3.

I was really surprised by that. I thought it would be closer.

Not true. Additionally, if ALL THOSE MEDICARE PREMIUMS had been invested and allowed to grow in value, we'd find that the majority of seniors would be getting LESS than their money's worth as is now true of SS. You can't blame citizens for the government's malfeasance with the money the government confiscated from them.
