Keep telling yourself that.

There is no doubt that American racists get their viewpoint about black Americans validated by conservatives.

What racists believe about black people and what conservatives believe about black people is virtually the same.

Black on black crime, the belief that black people are violent and dangerous to white people, the idea that black people are coddled, given unfair advantages, that racism against black people is no longer a concern, etc.

This is the rhetoric one finds amongst conservatives and racists.

Well, at least we had professors, and are not getting our history lessons from some obscure blogger who thinks that Family Guy is ruining the youth of America. Pajama TV--really?

Since when does the KKK establish national policy? Blacks doing worse now than under Bush or any recent president is purely a manifestation of Obama's Democratic Party Administration.

You voted for racists. Think about that...

I thought this thread was about the racist past of the parties. Nice deflection.

Almost everyone is falling behind in this economy, not just blacks. The generation behind the baby boomers is the first that isn't expected to do better than their parents. That's called income and wealth inequality, and your party is a great champion of keeping the status quo.

Did you know that 37 Republican senators blocked legislation that would have allowed students to refinance their student loans at a lower rate? Students are under a massive debt that is not allowing them to get a financial start in life. Everyone else is allowed to refinance debt, but not students. Why the hell not? Why would Republicans block this when it would help people pull themselves up in life? That's your GOP doing that. So tell us again about how it's Obama and the Democrats who are holding people down.

Most people in the bottom and the middle classes are not doing better in this economy. It has nothing to do with who is in the White House and everything to do with who is in control on Wall Street. For you to single out one group when it affects so many more than just that one group is disingenuous.

Democrats were racist then and are racist now. No deflection, there.

Social conservatives were racist then and are racist now. No deflection there, either. And has the nuance to be much more accurate.
