They didn't make law. They ruled the laws banning SSM were against the Constitution.

No. That action was valid.
Here, please read the law, and understand why it is in place to protect Americans
from politically-motivated justices. The crime committed by Ginsberg and Kagan is the
equivalent of allowing an active KKK member to sit on the jury of a case in which
a black man was lynched.

On what planet are justices not allowed to have an opinion?

This article spells it out pretty clearly. Should Two Supreme Court Justices Who Officiated Gay Weddings Recuse Themselves From Same-Sex Marriage Case?

If we're going to go by this new standard, which we're not, then we may as well go ahead and boot Alito, Thomas, and Scalia from the court permanently. Scalia is a straight up bigot who simply fabricates legal reasoning to support his already-held positions.

Face it. You lost. It's over. Time to move on.

Their opinion is invalid in this case and will not stand.
These are impeachable offenses.
They did not break the law, they officiated at same-sex weddings in states where it was legal.
They officiated before the Supreme Court took the case.

For those outright against government recognizing gay marriage. Look at it this way. I stole this from someone, don't know who. A guy could go get wasted drunk, find a hooker, and go through an Elvis drive through a half hour after meeting and get married. So its kinda hard to justify the government not recognizing gays. But it can't be stressed enough that churches need to be left alone or there are going to be some big problems.

I would have to disqualify the four dissenting judges because they DID NOT perform a same-sex marriage when most likely they preformed a heterosexual wedding.

Meh, Roberts did not vote with the lawless five. The way SCOTUS works is that the senior justice who votes with the majority in conference on a given case assigns the task of writing the decision to a particular justice. If the Chief Justice votes with the majority the task falls to him. In this case the senior justice was Kennedy and he assigned the writing of the opinion to himself. Personally I think this decision was a power grab by Kennedy. He wanted to "make history, no matter how infamous, and he already knew how the other lawless four would vote. If he ruled in favor for the states, he would have been overshadowed by the Chief Justice. If you are discussing the decision to hear the case, or certiorari, yes the Chief Justice has some power there, and I think that the court should have denied cert for the 6th circuit cases and let the lower court ruling stand.

It will be interesting to see how many states decide to ignore this ruling and refuse to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples, as you are suggesting. I'm guessing...zero. What's your guess?

Give it up. You lost. Try to be gracious in defeat, wish loving couples who want to share their lives together well, and go on with your life.

Or don't, and continue to entertain us all with your unrelenting bigotry.

Either way, you lose.

I can't lie, I don't really care what a church has to say, because what they have to say will change absolutely nothing. These naive and delusional Christians continue to support a system that hates them, and is counting the days to their destruction. They refuse to see that the world is controlled by systems, not individuals. And the system that they have had a hand in creating, and that they continue to support, has left them completely impotent and irrelevant.

And since Christians tend to either be incapable or unwilling to muster any real resistance; Then in a week, they'll be forgotten.

Shut up Christians, you are just delaying the inevitable. Just lay back and let it happen. Its gut-wrenching to continue watching this train wreck in slow-motion, just let it crash and burn already.

Actually, the majority of the American people are *not* with you. Including me. So stop misrepresenting me.

That said, have at it.
