I wonder how Sanders convinces a Republican house and senate to pass his agenda...
Good question, VTHokieFan, and it is an important question.
A democratic revolution for the people of America can only happen through a mass grass roots movement of millions of people who stand up for their rights and say to the politicians in Washington: enough is enough. A movement with enough popular momentum will put immense pressure on Congress, something they are not used to see. Congress likes passive people who remain silent. Only through the organized will of the American people can the fight for the regular, salt of the earth people be won against the oligarchy and billionaire class who want it all. The American middle class have more power than commonly thought.
Sigh....unlike banks, car companies have high barriers to entry, and high capitalization costs compared to banks which results them into being semi-natural monopolies. Also, car companies actually produce something tangible, investment banks do not.
Thank you!!! You're spot on.

To be honest, he does it by using the power of the presidency. Using the Veto pen, and other powers that he legally has. And by using the pulpit to call them out. By doing negotiations publicly. Heck by putting some teeth into corruption enforcement.

This sort of sentiment is exactly why we need to elect socialists and liberals - it's to protect us from the Greedy Class who want to hold the actual workers upside down to shake more coins out of their pockets. The 1%s are perfectly willing to destroy the USA as a viable nation, to ruin its credit by forcing default on payments, to cause as much anguish as possible for those who are less than rich ...... without stopping once to consider that if the 99% can't make enough money to buy things, then no one will buy the capitalist's products, and they will lose their income.
They got theirs by using the infrastructure, resources, and technology of this nation ...... but now they've got theirs, so they don't see any need to give back to the communities that enabled them through taxpayer-funded organizations and laws - for example the science and technology advances that have come from public universities.
I'd love to see Bernie win, but chances are that in the end everyone will vote for Hillary, figuring that she will have the best chance to win over the evil ones' nomination since she'll get all the women's votes. Really, though, she's only slightly the lesser of evils - if at all.

Just like any other competent President. Get on TV and use the bully pulpit and appeal to the populist mood of people. It worked for Ronald Reagan who whipped the Democrats endlessly via this method.
