You know you could probably say the same about Republicans too, though this could be used to generalize any group of people. All I can say is the individuals I vote for do actually care about the environment.

I don't know how much climate change has to do with it, but we are literally burning up here in BC.... (The sky is orange today)....Only 11mm or rain since April, and record heat.... Check out the wildfire map below...

on a side note.

Israeli Astrophysicist Nir Shaviv: The increase in solar activity over the 20th century implies that more than half of the warming should be attributed to the sun, not to emissions from human activity.

The sun raises the seas.

The IPCC and others blame CO2 for increases in sea levels, ignoring evidence that shows the sun to be the cause.

If the sun is the cause, then please explain why temperature and CO2 are rising, but solar activity is quiet...Check the graph below...

Regarding Arctic sea ice.....I have never made a prediction when sea ice would disappear, and if you are getting your info from Steve Goddard's blog, I understand why you are misinformed....Arctic sea ice has been decreasing for years, and is certainty not increasing.

Weather isn't climate but weather is affected by climate.

Just because the planet as a whole is warming up, it doesn't mean that winter won't be cold or that summer will always be extra hot, though it does make certain weather patterns more likely.

The fact that climate is extremely complex means certain people can pretend that because it's cold it must mean AGW isn't happening, or that heat waves always occur and climate change has nothing to do with it.

I'm not talking about elected officials. I'm talking about the average person.
