Seems like we need a review-board to review SCOTUS.......if they are doing things clearly ILLEGAL or OVERSTEPPING their boundaries/legal-powers, they should be removed.
Idea behind lifetime appointments was in theory supposed to prevent SCOTUS justices from being unduly influenced. That is as with some local judges knowing soon they must run for re-election or up for re-appointment *may* cloud some of their decisions.

You also don't want to give this or that administration too much influence by being able to pack the SC say if several vacancies came at once.

As one has said repeatedly; immunity from any adverse affects relating to their decisions means the SC can act in a manner that delivers "impartial" justice. People may not always agree with their reasoning but there you are....

It may seem to some, this sort of behavior is beyond childish. "I can't win by the rules! I need to change them!" Those who seek to bend the way that government works in the US by attempting to change the outcome of The Supreme Court, I would like to suggest perhaps a different career, perhaps that of a dictator in some small banana republic. (No, not the store).

What is your take?
This sounds like what is going on in California.
A few days ago Gov Brown signed the bill mandating all children must be vaccinated before attending public schools.
Now the groups against this new law want to recall the state legislature members that voted for this law.
Absolutely stupid.

Bob.
