What resources? Oil & Gas? There is plenty of oil in California and PA as well.

The racists in American history have been the Democrats. The white, Democrats from the north need their straw man effigies for the south, it's the only thing they cling to in order to feel superior.
Only because white confederates were disenfranchised. Revels certainly was not elected by white Mississippians. Trying to use his election as proof of southern white enlightenment is too bizarre to even be a decent joke.

You're right, there is plenty of Oil and Gas in California. The only problem is, much of it is either unaccessable due to state regulations or is more costly to obtain than southern fields.

Get away from any big city and the south begins.

For those liberals who hate the South so much, I always wonder what they thought was so great about Bill Clinton's Arkansas. I remember--back in 1992--how the liberals always said that Clinton was such a great governor.

It seems that this hatred of the South seems to be a relatively new thing. (The result of being unable to compete in the South since 2000.)

It is really to bad people don't pay attention to all the south bashing that goes on because I would prefer in a lot of ways to have the smaller population of 25 years ago than what it is now.
I was born in Iowa in 1967 was moved to Arkansas when I was 7.
I grew up and got married in the south, moved back to MN in the north in 1991.
I spent 22 years up there in the cold.
I am glad to be back home now.
You haters believe what ever you want the south has moved forward more in the last 25 years than the north, in wages and everything.
No place is perfect but I much prefer making the same money here as I did there after the union got they're cut and the cost of living is better here.

I can cite numerous articles on conservative sites...or even comments from conservatives on this forum but it would be a waste of time to bring it to your notice.
