I'd be interested as well. Although I think the lawmakers had other motivations:

This! Just more distractions and continuing to divide us, while they and their elitist friends continue to destroy the economy, and further erode our individual liberties!

OK, the
SC legislature yielded to the hate/racist lobby. It figures, they were making the most noise.
Once again, "The squeaky wheel always gets the grease!" holds true.
Nothing new here, just move along...

Of course, those who were against an antique flag were not racist or hateful!
Oh, no....

RIIIIIGHT!!!

That is a historical fact that no honest person will ever even try to deny.
You are correct the republican party removed the confederate flag

Huh wonder what this will do when it comes to a modern southern strategy. Oh 2016 is shaping up nicely.

What?

Who's forcing you to stop flying the flag? The state isn't going to fly it anymore, but ignoramuses remain as free to flag the flag today as they were yesterday.

No one is coming to your trailer park to take away your flag.

It is absurd that a state was flying it in the first place. Makes about as much sense as if parts of Germany decided to fly the Nazi flag to remind everyone that they still hate the Jews and commemorate the great work of the SS.

Yes, the majority of whites in SC probably support this symbol of racism., Luckily there is more to SC than these conservative supporters of hate symbols... The results of this effort proves such..

If you're not careful Donald Trump is going to set the strategy.
