I believe that under the circumstances, he has been a very good president. I look at the condition the country was in when he took office and where we are today, and that is how I draw my conclusions. Your opinion differs.
Neither of us know how future generations will view his presidency, but they, too, will base their assessment not on the mood of the country during his presidency, but on the condition of the country on the day he took office and what he accomplished.

I've often compared him to Jackie Robinson of baseball fame. Like Robinson, Obama was the best person to break the color barrier in presidential politics. He is intelligent and classy and doesn't rise to the bait that conservatives continually chum the waters with. He didn't let the slurs and ridiculous roadblocks they threw in his way slow him down or distract him from his goals, he just sidestepped them and continue on.
You are right, years from now, when the country has outgrown its racist past, history will view him in a very favorable light.

Even other countries laugh at this president. The Muslims even laugh at him. Have you seen the video of Muslims making fun of him? They even make fun of his wife in the video. Unfortunately, a lot of people were not able to see past Larry Bird's color and didn't acknowledge the greatness that he displayed throughout his career. It wasn't until he was long retired when people began removing their racists goggles and giving him all of the respect and credit he deserved and appreciate what he did for the game.....This is what I see with President Obama.
This guy has revamped the economy, brought the stock and housing market back to its feet, saved the auto industry, created universal health care, killed Osama Bin Laden, decreased the unemployment rate, increased jobs growth and many others, but people continue to HATE him and disbelieve his successes as President.
Obama is caring, charismatic, intelligent, cool, calm, collective, and he has the propensity to take crap like no other President without blinking an eye.
People don't appreciate it now, but wait until we go back to the dull, dry, out of touch type of Presidents we have had in the past..........You will be longing, wishing and bragging about the days of Obama, you Fox watching fools!

To them, the fact that the last 2 years of Bush when the economy started into the recession the Dems controlled both the House & Senate is completely ignored.
The fact that the economy is healing and we have a Republican House, Republican Senate, most Governors are Republican, most state legislatures Republican and the most elected Republicans in 87 years again is completely ignored.

1. We went from the U-6 to the U-3 to measure employment. The real unemployment rate is 10-11% percent not 5 point whatever percent.
2. The stock market is a gimmick that a smart 10 year could figure out how to manipulate it.
3. Save the auto industry? Nope.
4. Universal health care is a racket for the insurance companies. He half assed it.
5. Osama died a lot sooner. You aren't going to travel lightly and easily when you have a condition that requires constant medical care. If you believe the world's most sophisticated intelligence program could and would let public enemy #1 go free, I have some lake front property in Death Valley to sell you.
