No we are not! Most Americans believe in the Security of the US. The southern Border should be sealed. We area Nations of Laws and Illegals do not respect American Law or even wish to be fully integrated in US society.

Mexicans and others cause the criminal problems we have in the US. Have us seen the numbers of just Mexicans in Lock Up. Sanchez is a primary reason why we have Immigration Laws!

I don't know who "you" is but there is nothing racist about wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced. Most of the Europeans who came here did so legally. The topic is illegal immigration not legal immigration. These illegals aren't coming here with fear in their eyes as in fear for their lives back in their homelands. They are coming here for economic gain at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer.

Lol at thinking that a wall will keep them out...

They'll dig underneath, find a way to climb over, or exploit any damage to it in order to get in.

It may deter the relatively law-abiding/harmless immigrants, but not the ones we really need to worry about. They're the ones desperate and criminal enough to circumvent it.

That's mainly because there were NO immigration laws applicable to white immigrants until the Immigration Act of 1924, which imposed an ethnic quota for immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe. Mind you, there were all sorts of draconian exclusionary laws for the Chinese and Japanese for several decades before that. So, for the rest of Europe, there were no applicable immigration laws until the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Moreover, even after that visa overstays are very common among European students, tourists and workers.

Oh? It still works on decent, compassionate, smart people . . . . people that good Christians aspire to be.

I have no problem with a wall or other mechanism that would prevent the Mexicans from entering the country illegally (presumably they will be designed to avoid injury if some illegals try to scale it). I really don't.

However, are we willing to pay extra taxes to pay for the estimated $22 billion cost over the remaining 1,000 miles or so of the border which have not been fenced in? Furthermore, annual expenses to repair and maintain the fence would be substantial since the illegals will attempt to damage the fence to try to gain access and there will be normal wear and tear. Considering that most of the prime entry points have been already fenced, we have to really think about the cost-benefit.

I don't like the idea of a wall, but I do like the idea of a limited suspension of posse comitatus and letting U.S. troops patrol and protect the border.

Like I said, when you factor in all the costs it would be cheaper to just invade and annex Mexico. It would probably costs many millions a year just to maintain - the desert climate tends to be harsh on infrastructure ... especially once you get into the middle of nowhere.

Really, new member here comes to the table and plays the oldest card there is. Pathetic to say the least.
