Reagan won 49 of the 50 states, losing only to Mondale as his home state was the only state to go with him in 1984. Will we ever again see a President who is so popular, so effective, so kind to the other party that even they will say, okay let's reelect him and he/she wins 49 of the 50 states....will we ever be that unified and get to that point in our lifetime again? Why do you think yes or no?

Reason: you happy now?
Democrat or Republican we will never be that united again. The parties have decided to adopt an obstinate platform. The other party's loss is their gain, America be damned.
One thing Reagan showed is that to become that popular, you have to not respond in kind when your political opponents attack you...of course, he had the gift of deflecting criticism with humor that we haven't seen in a national politician since.

When even his ardent fans can't spell his name, probably not.

I doubt it, not with an honest election anyway. Remember while he had 49/50 of the electoral vote even Reagan only had 58.8% of the popular vote, it isn't like the entire country was united behind him, I'd bet those same 41% who voted against him have continued to vote (D) in every election since, it's the small number of swing voters in the middle who decide elections.
