They'd get jobs. That's what happened in NY in the 90's with welfare reform. They made working the priority, "services" secondary. So they went to work.
Sweet! Except for the part where the study you linked said that they couldnt show causation.
You do understand the difference between correlation and causation......right?
But lets say you're right. Now is the cause poor nutrition? GASP...you know, people buying nutritionally poor food because its cheaper?
So for example...what if those getting double benefits were less obese? While those NOT getting it were more obese? Thats not beyond the realm of possibility you know....because eating well is expensive.
You've been demonstrated to be wrong over and over and over.
What's your personal interest in keeping as many poor people as possible obese?
So you can't prove they're obese from overeating and have to change the subject with a logical fallacy? What's your personal interest in using logical fallacies?

Ah yes, magical jobs!
Fun fact-a ton of people on welfare or food stamps....have jobs.

As another poster said, its tiresome.
And dishonest. Seems some people don't care about honesty.
Oh so you acknowledge you are wrong about overeating?
No. There is a DIRECT link between food stamp use and obesity. The income eligible who DON'T get food stamps have the same obesity rate as higher income earners.
The U.S. should stop duplicating free food benefits for the exact same meals. Why are we giving people MORE food than the recommended daily nutritional levels?

There's a million and one welfare programs and I don't doubt some welfare people are eligible for some of them. But the main one, AFDC, was cut dramatically in the 90's when they made them go to work.
