In Mexico, politicians and cops literally have no option short of packing up their life and moving when approached by these cartels.

It is so easy to kill anyone short of a the nation's highest ranking politicians (President, etc).

In Mexico its like ever other week you hear about a mayor or politician getting killed.

In this type of environment, you literally have no choice, unless you want to be killed and risk your families life also.

Hell, Guzman, has Mexican officials in his backpocket so much he can avoid extradition and break out of maximum security prisons when ever he wants. (twice now)
Probably because the laws and rules are usually respected in the US but "law" in LatAm is something to get over on. Too; our cops and politicos ain't nearly as corrupt as a group compared to LatAm or even Italy and Russia.

If it was "just" Mexico being such a mess, you might be onto something. Pretty much ALL of LatAm is a mess; even "white" countries like Argentina so that cuts out "racism" for their problems.

Many other countries were much bigger messes after WW 2 but bounced back better than ever. NO LatAm country has had a real "total war" like Germany, South Korea, Japan, Poland and many others in the last 100 years but ALL of the 2nd group are doing well in 2015.

I do not think you quite understand. Our laws are respected because they have never been put to the fire.

Our politicians would easily become corrupt after they see a few of the colleagues getting killed.

You either resign, move, or get killed.
