Just did a quick internet search and no report of people who cling to their bible and guns going to local Islamic centers and attacking them in retribution of Thursday's shooting. To hear or read some people on this board, southern Christians with guns are the threat to the country. This shooting happened in Tennessee, a southern state with plenty of gun owners.

If you read the comments on the Gawker article posted earlier in the thread, it's a bunch of liberals saying the poor killer was probably driven to kill by growing up in the "racist" South. They had more sympathy for the man who killed 5 innocent people than they did for the families of the people killed.

Even more amazing, I just went back and looked at the Gawker comments again, and I noticed those replies were approved by the Gawker mods. So the liberal more at the Gawker apparently have no issues with people excusing the shooting by saying the racist redneck people of TN drove him to do it. Those people would include the wives and children of the men who were murdered, so they are attacking the victims as well. Unbelievable, there are some truly sick people (and "news" sites) in this world.

This would have been over in a second with no loss of lives except for the active shooter if they had weapons to defend themselves. Actually, the attack probably would not even have occurred. Burn your legislator's telephones up demanding this. Change Clinton's previous law. The US has changed and is changing, and the law needs to change as well.

Clinton's previous law? Please provide a source for your information.

The regs you speak of that prohibit firearms on military bases were actually enacted by a Department of Defense Directive over 20 years ago during George H. W. Bush's presidency.
