Op hit a sore spot?

We donate time at a homeless shelter preparing food we bring and feeding the homeless familes and we also donate items to food bank. If we paid less in taxes we would donate more. We are conservative.

You make a hobby of counting other people's money and keeping a tally of how much free time they have and how they spend it?

That ain't much of a life.

Being charitable is a good virtue. Minding ones own business is an even better one.

Op asked a question, it is just a survey, no more, no less.

I am ONLY trying to defend myself because you said "just because I donated, I think I am special."You also said, I have absolutely no class, and I am tacky. I think I am allowed to defend myself, no more, no less.

by the way, I was asking an honest question "If you think this thread is tacky, why do you waste your time and made TWO posts." Then you got all crazy and personal. Maybe you should read your own posts. No, I don't think "everybody" is out to get me, if I feel I am unstable, then I will take your advice (seeking professional help) So far, I think I am good, but thank you for your suggestion.
Maybe you should take your own advice sometime. Maybe you just have strong opinions, I don't know. I think at this point, we can just agree to disagree.

This is going to be my last post in this thread. You can come here and say your last words, I know you would.
lily, ad hominem attacks signal the attacker is wrong. The attacker has no reasonable arguments.

Being personally attacked is a compliment, a sign of victory, thus any debater should be proud of every single ad hominem attack. I see the reason clearly when posters attack me personally.

I don't help or give money to any political party.

I give money and food to animal rescue groups. I've given up on people and organized charity groups....got burned one time too many and got disgusted with it.

Sounds like this thread is a response to that one.

it's curiously devoid of progs attacking it as "gauche" incidentally.

It is an anonymous forum. You are in the clear.

Because this thread ^ is discussing the parties as a whole. It's not a place to brag, "I'm a good person because I do XYZ."

It's collectivism vs narcissism.

Well at least this thread is feeding into your confirmation biases. I do and give many thing for many people but refuse to play these reindeer games to show what a good person I am.

I know I'm a good person. Don't feel the need to brag.

I think THIS is the real difference you have uncovered between liberals and conservatives.

IN ADDITION TO the narcissistic conservative vs the empathetic/collectivism liberal as stated above.

Utopian, I admitted my experience with the lack of personal generosity among liberals, after decades of living, is anecdotal. The thread isn't a scientific study, but of course, you knew that.

And, as many have posted, the persons responding to this thread are anonymous.
