Just because your political ideology is not being followed in the White House doesn't mean that the gov is over reaching. Also I don't think the overthrow the US government types are a very small percentage of Republicans. There are a ton of Clive Bundy types running amok. The gun fetish just further reinforces this. I hope the government does thorough background checks before allowing such folks to work in the military or other government places...they may try to bring chaos from inside.

(Sigh) ummm...not so much as yon would have folks believe. Now, if we want to talk about the real problem children, gangs and drug lords, yep, they would see the government usurped. They don't recognize it, now, and govern "their" streets, as they see fit. With guns and cash. Lots of both. And nobody in their "turf" can do a thing about it. They are the governed. Submit, or die. Even if they wanted to fight back, the "legitimate" government has denied them the means to do so. It illegal to have guns, after all. Atleast in their neighborhoods, for non criminals. Love tthat "sensible gun regulation".
Sbeesh, in light of such things, I wonder if yon realize how nuts your post looks. As if people like me, own weapons because we want to start a revolt against the US government. Sure, you know that magical quality guns have, to control minds and make perfectly rational people into nut cases. The gangs and cartels that hold their leashes, aren't vetting their guns from gun shops and private citizens, either. A good percentage of their hardware is stamped US Property. I'd love to know, exact, how much. That information is not available to us public peons.
